Dr. Juan Frias and Mary Lou Perry RD CDCES will provide a general introduction to the Standards of Care (methodology, evidence analysis rating), target audience, and its general content. The focus will be on the 2024 Standards of Care and how it can inform practice. The speakers will focus on content changes within the standards and use case studies to illustrate how HCP’s can consider their implementation. Topics include type 1 diabetes screening and the use of medications to delay the onset, treatment paradigm in the management of diabetes and obesity, and population health including equity and nutrition security.
